It's hard to comprehend how much actually goes into opening a business. I don't think anyone can fully understand until they have experienced it for themselves. Architectural designs, signage, inventory, payroll services, Point of Sale systems, merchant services, accounting, legal documents, hiring, promotional items, permits, social networking, bank accounts, establishing terms and network designs....and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
I feel as though in the past 2 months, I have learned more about business than I have in the past 8 years studying and experiencing it. It is overwhelming. It is exciting. And it is hard work.
I have become an expert at writing to do lists, and I have become an expert at prioritizing what needs to get completed first.
